Dear New Moms,
Congratulations on becoming a MOTHER. Yes, I said it, a MOTHER. You have brought a beautiful creation into this world that will rely solely on you for his or her growth, development, and wellbeing. This is going to be one of the craziest, if not, the craziest journeys of your entire life. You will experience everything from anger, fear, doubt, sadness, hope, faith, happiness, and everything in between!
How do I know this you may ask? Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Virgen (lol yes, you read that right! Glad I could make laugh 😉 ) I started babysitting back in 2005 when I was 14 years old. I babysat for over a dozen families in Hoboken, NJ whom I still keep in touch with currently. I then proceeded to create a babysitting business, called TLC Sitters, LLC in 2008, at this time, the demand for babysitting was so high and I couldn’t multiply myself, so I brought in others to help.
This soon came to an end when I graduated high school and decided to further my education at Rutgers University. I pursued my greatest passion, which was to help people and graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
During college, I still knew that I wanted to work with children and worked at a pediatric doctors office during my entire time at Rutgers. After I graduated, I became the head nurse and office manager at the pediatric doctor’s office where I was working but had the hunger to learn more about how I could help children.
In 2015, I began working at a magnet hospital (a prestigious distinction a healthcare organization can receive for nursing excellence and high quality care), St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ where I would experience the saddest and happiest moments of my life as a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse. I feel so content in knowing that I can help a child in any stage or setting of their life, whether it’s in primary care, urgent care, or emergency care I have the knowledge and experience to tackle any obstacle in their life.
Want to know the greatest gift of all? During my time at St. Joseph’s, I also became a new mommy just like you. I am now the mother of a beautiful 15-month-old girl named Vayda; but let me tell you, that this has been no walk in the park. While I almost lost my life giving birth to Vayda, I also went through post-partum depression which many mothers have and will continue to experience.
At this point in my life, I felt like I really needed someone who could 1. Really understand my emotionswithout passing judgment and 2. Have answers to the questions that I had about both my daughter and myself. I would cry all the time and sometimes for no good reason (and trust me I’m not a “crier”). You start questioning yourself and wondering if you’re properly taking care of the little life that’s in your hands. I had so many questions to ask but no one to turn to for answers. On top of it all, I always felt like I couldn’t get all the answers I wanted at doctor’s visits because it always felt rushed. I remember asking myself time and time again, “who could I ask about this right now?” but always came up short handed. Honestly, someone who knows about children and a better support system with like-minded people could have truly helped me through this rough time of my life.
That is why I have created Private Mommy Nurse. I wanted to establish a safe place for new mother’s to ask questions and get credible answers from a medical professional who is experienced as both a pediatric nurse & mother; while also getting support from other new mommies who are experiencing similar emotions, and to top it all off of, to have someone reliable to watch your new baby when you just need to catch a break (because trust me you’re gunna need it)! The purpose of these packages are to help educate and support new mothers so that they could feel confident in the care they are providing for themselves, as well as, their little ones. After working with me, you will have the confidence to assess a situation and decide what you have to do as a mother.
Please email: me@virgenmilagros.com for information on the 4 packages available right now.
I look forward to speaking with you!
